About Us
Our
Story

We are Josh and Jill Phillips — and we love the local church.

Before there was ever a name or a structure for what we do, there were years of serving. Youth rooms. Small groups. Leadership meetings. Altar calls. Planning sessions. Volunteer trainings. Church offices late at night. Prayer before services. Conversations with new believers who needed direction.
Ministry has never been theoretical for us. It has always been lived.
Over the years, we have had the privilege of serving in both large and small church environments — sometimes as staff, often as volunteers — carrying responsibility in youth leadership, small group leadership, church operations, and ministry systems. We have helped build teams, implement Planning Center and other ministry tools, organize follow-up processes, and bring clarity to environments that were growing quickly.
We have also stood in the middle of outreaches and crusades — helping coordinate altar response systems, collect decision information in real time, and support the behind-the-scenes structure that connects a moment of salvation to long-term discipleship. Those experiences shaped us deeply.
We began to see something clearly:
Powerful moments of response deserve intentional follow-up.
Josh naturally thinks in systems and technical structure. He sees how platforms connect, how data flows, and how processes can be built or improved behind the scenes. Jill often comes up with specific ideas for how something could work better — whether it’s a follow-up process, a leadership flow, or a new way to strengthen communication — and then turns to Josh and asks, “Is that even possible?” Sometimes the answer is yes. Sometimes it takes a workaround. And sometimes it means building something differently than it was originally designed. But together, we work through it until vision becomes something practical and usable.
We both care deeply about people. We have both led, trained, and served in various ministry environments. We both understand that systems are not the goal — they are tools that should support growth, protect leaders, and help people flourish. Together, we share a conviction that structure should serve the mission and strengthen relationships, not complicate them.
We are licensed Ministers under Revival Today Global Pursuit, reflecting our alignment with bold evangelism and the urgency of the Great Commission. We believe in preaching the Gospel clearly and unapologetically. We also believe that discipleship must be intentional, structured, and grounded in Scripture.
Our heart is simple:
-
Every decision for Christ matters.
-
Every new believer deserves a clear next step.
-
The Church deserves systems that support growth, not hinder it.
Rooted Path Ministries grew naturally from what we were already doing — serving churches, strengthening structure, and helping protect the harvest. But at its core, this work is not about building an organization. It is about serving the Body of Christ faithfully.
We care deeply about stewardship. We care about discipleship. We care about leaders who feel overwhelmed and volunteers who need clarity. And we care about seeing believers rooted and built up in truth.
Above all, we are grateful to serve — and committed to doing it with integrity, humility, and faithfulness.
